In an era of infinite options, we chose constraint. Not because limits are fashionable, but because they are honest. The greatest records ever made were born inside rooms with fixed signal chains, limited track counts, and engineers who knew their gear by feel. We built Retro Recordings XR to bring that feeling back.

Vol. I · The Vision

Retro Recordings XR is a virtual reality music production studio built in Unreal Engine 5. It recreates legendary recording environments from the golden age of music production — spaces where countless iconic albums were born. But this is not a museum. It is a living, breathing creative tool where you mix on consoles inspired by a famous American classic, track through vintage outboard, and collaborate with musicians from around the world in real-time.

The project was born from a simple observation: the tools that shaped the greatest records ever made are disappearing behind screens. Signal flow has become invisible. Gain staging is an afterthought. The physical, intentional act of moving a fader, patching a compressor, or committing to tape has been replaced by infinite undo and endless option paralysis.

Retro Recordings XR puts the craft back into your hands — not by rejecting modern technology, but by using it to resurrect something essential that was lost along the way.

Visually inspired by the great American & British consoles like the SSL, Neve, and more. Every channel strip, EQ band, and fader has been carefully modeled to feel true to the originals. The LLC (liquid level chaos) 4K G is the first fully realized console — route audio, shape tone, and commit your mix with the same workflow the legends used.
