Retro Recordings Studio
My passion project to build an immersive XR music studio that authentically captures the iconic look, feel, and creative workflow of legendary analogue studios from the golden age of music production.
In my recreation try to get as close to reality as possible. (yes you have to be an absolute gear nerd for this)

With this virtual space I aim to inspire musicians and producers by blending classic studio charm with cutting-edge technology, bringing timeless sound and innovation together. I dream of remaking the console the heart of the music production, Let the technical limits of the daw-less area be the romance and your creative boost.
This is being built for artists, producers, audio engineers, students, gear heads, nerds, and audio enthusiasts,I hope it offers an authentic, hands-on experience of working in a classic recording studio—accessible from anywhere in the world using virtual reality.
Immersive Recording Experience, with 70s / 80s control room feel

Step into legendary studios and unleash your creativity with our retro-inspired virtual environment.

Mix and record multitrack songs using iconic vintage consoles for an authentic sound experience.

Collaborate, learn, and explore with real-time effects and instruments in a nostalgic setting.
Discover hands-on mixing
Let the technical limits of the past, feed your renewed creativity and
mix by ear and feel, instead of being led by numbers and curves.
Who?
This ain’t just for gearheads or VR nerds—it’s for anyone who loves creating, producing, or just vibing with music in a way that feels real.
Whether you’re an artist, producer, DJ, engineer or just someone who loves playing with old simulated gear, or fan-dissect classic multitracks, this is for you.
Moreover this virtual studio brings you the feel of inspiring legendary recording spaces
- Artists, Producers & Engineers – Record, mix, collab online, and create in a next-level environment that feels just like the real thing.
- Audio Students – No need for a million-dollar setup—learn on real gear, experiment, and master your craft from anywhere.
- Gearheads & Studio Nerds – If you love buttons, faders, and old-school studio setups, you’ll appreciate the level of detail here.
- Music Fans – Ever wanted to break down a track like a pro? Imagine loading up a multitrack from an old studios vault. Therefore, while pulling up each fader, you discover layers and sounds of a song you never heard before.
- Signed Artists & Producers – Use this space to promote music, create virtual content, and even let fans remix tracks interactively. Think SoundCloud, Splice, and UEFN-style community engagement.

The control room of the recording studio
Experience immersive VR recording with iconic vintage consoles designed to inspire and provide professional music production

Inside the virtual daw-less studio
Ever dreamed of walking into a studio packed
with a classic vintage console and awesome outboard gear??
Now, you can!
This isn’t a plugin, it’s not on your laptop, desktop or hardware.
It’s a fully immersive XR studio,
built for artists, producers and gearheads like myself.
Virtually touch the faders, twist the knobs, push the buttons, patch in an effect, walk around, feel the room and bob your head while doing it.
Try that in your current DAW.
It’s like loading a mix of Capital Records, Abbey Road, Electric Lady
on your private virtual music holodeck.
And (as) soon (as possible),
it’s dropping on SteamVR, Metastore or anything else I can get it on really.
So yeah—get ready to produce music like they did 40 yrs ago
Possibilities are endless
- Mix & record multitrack sessions using the iconic analogue consoles visually inspired by the great (SSL, Neve, Focusrite, API, Trident and Helios).
- Route audio any way you like just like in real life studios. But different.
- You can use effects like a mad scientist. Slap on EQ, compression, delay, reverb and more and control them using the familiar old-school controls.
- Load your stems or multitracks and remix songs of the past (there’s an optional 24/48 track limit to keep you sane)
- Play virtual instruments like piano, drums and guitar which are already there, now I just need to finish them…
- Explore the control room and find tape machines, outboard gear and some hidden stuff, jokes, magazines and state secrets
- There is another door? YES! Across the hall, were building a cinema room for mixing audio with video. Music video, anyone?
- Learn audio engineering interactively—ideal for schools and training programs. Get some “me time” with your favorite console. I try to make a digital twins of the famous consoles, but never touched one myself… so go figure
- Customize avatars and record in-game XR content for YouTube or host immersive sessions at some point.
- Purchase add-ons (whoop whoop) like licensed music stems & multitracks, subscribe for educational modules, increase party stuff, get your music heard

Heads up! This site and project are still a work in progress, so you might spot the occasional bug, broken link, or typo. I’m just a solo dev for now, so thanks for your patience—stick around and I’ll keep making things better (eventually)! 😉
