The control room is the nerve centre of any recording studio. It is where creative decisions are made, where sound is shaped, and where a collection of tracks becomes a record. In Retro Recordings XR, the control room is built to capture the feel, acoustics, and workflow of the rooms that shaped the sound of generations.

Designed for Immersion

Every surface, texture, and light source has been crafted in Unreal Engine 5 to create a space that feels real. Soft overhead lighting casts warm shadows across the console. The meter bridge glows amber. Tape machines spin behind you. The live room is visible through the glass, with microphones set and ready.

  • Outboard Racks: Full racks of vintage processors across from the console
  • Patch Bay: A fully wired patch bay connecting every input, output, and insert in the room
  • Tape Machines: Brüder A817 multitrack and two track stereo mastering deck
  • Monitor System: 2 Near-field options and far-field monitoring with adjustable speaker levels
  • Live Room View: Full visibility into the tracking room through the control room glass
