This site is a non-commercial, educational archive of recording-studio history. We reproduce vintage advertisements, brochures, operator manuals and photographs of recording consoles, tape machines, microphones and studios to preserve context that might otherwise be lost.
Where possible we credit the original source and link back. Many materials — particularly magazine ads and brochures older than ten years — have been circulating on the open internet across many sites, and original authorship is often untraceable or "orphan." Their use here falls under the fair-use doctrine for scholarship, archiving and research. We do not claim copyright or ownership of any third-party materials.
