The ASP8024 is one of the very few large-format analog consoles still in production in the 21st century. Launched in 1998, it used SMT circuit boards mounted horizontally under the control surface rather than the traditional vertical module approach — a cost-effective construction that kept the price accessible while maintaining professional specifications. Its Class A discrete preamps and Heritage EQ (derived from classic British circuit design) offer a sound that connects contemporary recordings directly to the tradition of British studio music. The largest current configuration runs to 72 channels with 152 inputs to the mix bus.
