MOD-N-D / MOD-N-32
1971 – 1979
Flickinger's flagship MOD-N series — modular, discrete-transistor large-frame consoles. The MOD-N-D (24 inputs, 24 outputs, 78 inches wide, 65.6 inches working area) was Flickinger's standard mid-1970s frame; the MOD-N-32 brought the same architecture to a full 32-track-capable configuration. Both featured remote-access programmable solid-state switching, DC control for automation, full input-to-any-track assign, simultaneous quad-stereo-mono outputs, automatic sync switching, preview punch-in monitor control, quad-pan on all inputs, three-range stepless reciprocal/shelving EQ, programmable muting, four cue systems, and full plug-in construction.
