Dudderidge-era Focusrite
"World Class, Not World Standard"
Launched after Phil Dudderidge's Focusrite Audio Engineering took over from the liquidated Focusrite Ltd., the Euroconsole was the "World Class, Not World Standard" mid-size Focusrite — the same hand-built ethos as the Studio Console in a frame that could be expanded as client needs grew. At £165,000 it remained well above the mass-market desks, but came with Focusrite's signal-path pedigree, moving-fader automation as standard, and ergonomic design targeted at producers who needed the Focusrite sound without the ten-console-per-career exclusivity of the bespoke Studio Console. Focusrite later used the same platform philosophy to seed the ISA console and its descendants.
