Pre-liquidation Focusrite Ltd.
The Forte was Rupert Neve's smaller companion to the Studio Console — a modular 96-input-module design aimed at studios that admired the Studio Console's sonic philosophy but could not justify its price. Only a handful were built before Focusrite Ltd. entered liquidation in 1989. When Phil Dudderidge bought the assets in 1989 and restarted Focusrite Audio Engineering, Forte production briefly continued before the company pivoted to the ISA outboard line that still defines the modern Focusrite brand.
