"Instant-select" cue-talkback Slide attenuators SS 7600: optional multitrack outputs Stereo record / audition buss

McCurdy's mid-size broadcast line — the SS 7400 (12 mixer, 2-channel mono), SS 7500 (8 stereo channel) and SS 7600 Custom Audio Console (20 mono / 12 stereo, multiple monitor feeds and cue). All three shared the same SS-series plug-in module architecture: slide attenuators, VU metering, stereo record/audition buss, remote line switchers, and the company's signature "instant-select" cue-talkback system. The top-of-range SS 7600 supported multi-track tape outputs as a factory option — making it one of the few 1970s broadcast consoles routinely used for album recording in TV and radio-studio environments.
