Launched in April 1983 as "the ultimate in sound reinforcement console systems," the PR40 represented Midas's answer to the increasingly complex demands of large-format live touring. Four-band sweep equalisation, sweep filter, four auxiliary groups (eight optional), programmable muting, 12 sub-groups providing stereo mix and four mono matrix mix to multiple array speaker systems. After ten years building touring consoles by direct consultation with top bands and engineers, the PR40 codified Midas's ergonomic philosophy into a flagship product.
