Neotek
American Engineering, Studio Grade
Founded in Chicago, Neotek built transformer-less, clean-sounding consoles that appealed to engineers who wanted modern sonics without the cost of an SSL. Their Series II, Series III, Elan, and Elite desks were fixtures in US commercial and project studios through the 1980s and 1990s.
Neotek's reputation was built on honest engineering — straightforward signal paths, reliable components, clean EQs. Less fashionable than SSL or API, but widely used in serious working rooms.
