M-3000 (Amek 3000)
1978 – mid 1980s
The M-3000 was AMEK's top-of-line recording console of the late 1970s — a 36-input, 24-output desk with full parametric EQ, VCA control on every input, flexible grouping, echo returns, and a mute matrix. Priced at US $108,468 in 1979 (per the AMEK ad distributed by Everything Audio / Martin Audio) it competed directly with the large-format offerings from Neve and Harrison, and represented Manchester-based AMEK's first credible flagship.
