The 4832C pushed the 32-Series frame to its fullest extent — 48 active, equalised Input/Output modules with VCA grouping and AUTOSET, purpose-designed for facilities running two synchronised 24-track recorders simultaneously. The 48 I/O positions enabled effective split operation: record on one group of modules while monitoring on another. In mixdown the 4832C could accept 102 line-level inputs in a single frame. Master modules were positioned at the centre of the console for equal access from either side — an ergonomic detail that acknowledged the growing reality of multi-engineer sessions. Harrison's 36-segment High Resolution LED meters were standard equipment at this level.
